Beautiful 1960s handmade lamp base from Tilgmans Keramik, Sweden. Made in chamotte clay with relief decoration and inlaid fields of colored glaze in turquoise and brownish shades. Typical of Tilgmans' rustic style with strong texture and geometric ornamentation.
Makers mark, as well as Made in Sweden.

Tilgmans Keramik in Gothenburg, Sweden, was active from the 1940s to the 1970s and became known for its decorative vases and figures with relief patterns and glaze inlays in strong colors.
